Kamfanin Aquatic Leisure Technologies (ALT) kwanan nan ya ƙaddamar da wurin wanka mai ƙarfi na graphene wanda aka ƙarfafa shi da gilashin fiber mai ƙarfafawa (GFRP). Kamfanin ya ce wurin wanka na graphene nanotechnology da aka samu ta hanyar amfani da resin graphene da aka haɗa tare da masana'antar GFRP ta gargajiya yana da sauƙi, ƙarfi, kuma ya fi dorewa fiye da wuraren wanka na GFRP na gargajiya.
A shekarar 2018, ALT ta tuntubi abokin aikin da kuma kamfanin Western Australia First Graphene (FG), wanda ke samar da kayayyakin graphene masu inganci. Bayan fiye da shekaru 40 na kera wuraren ninkaya na GFRP, ALT tana neman ingantattun hanyoyin sha danshi. Duk da cewa cikin wurin wanka na GFRP yana da kariya daga gel mai layi biyu, wajen wurin yana iya fuskantar danshi daga ƙasa da ke kewaye da shi cikin sauƙi.
Neil Armstrong, Manajan Kasuwanci na First Graphene Composites, ya ce: Tsarin GFRP yana da sauƙin sha ruwa saboda yana ɗauke da ƙungiyoyi masu amsawa waɗanda za su iya amsawa da ruwan da aka sha ta hanyar hydrolysis, wanda ke haifar da ruwa ya shiga cikin matrix, kuma blisters na iya faruwa. Masu kera suna amfani da dabaru daban-daban don rage shigar ruwa a wajen wuraren waha na GFRP, kamar ƙara shingen vinyl ester zuwa tsarin laminate. Duk da haka, ALT yana son zaɓi mai ƙarfi da ƙaruwar lanƙwasa don taimakawa wurin waha nasa ya kiyaye siffarsa da kuma jure matsin lamba daga wurin cikawa da matsin lamba na hydrostatic ko nauyin hydrodynamic.
